When most people talk about weight management, the concepts of diet and exercise are often brought up concurrently, as if both have a significant role in weight management. That is absolutely not the case. However, before I go any further, let me make it crystal clear that all of us should exercise everyday for many, many reasons.
Unfortunately, for most of us, exercise is not a ”robust stimulus” for weight loss. (Phinney, S., 2011). Diet is many, many times more important than exercise in weight management.
As stated above, exercise does many wonderful things for our health. One of these healthful benefits of exercise is to increase microbe diversity. Some argue that exercise is one of the strongest factors known to increase the diversity of our microbiome.
